When purchasing aftermarket seats, one of the most important elements to consider are the mounting brackets and sliders. Sliders are also referred to as rails or tracks. You can buy the best-looking seat on the market but if you don’t have the right brackets and sliders, they can be a nightmare to install.
Corbeau is one of the only after-market seat manufacturers to custom make vehicle-specific brackets to optimize your seating position, ride height, and sliding capabilities. There’s nothing like the feeling of installing your aftermarket seats just to find out you don’t slide back enough or that you’re not centered with the steering wheel. We do the work to ensure you don’t have this issue when you buy a Corbeau seat and bracket.
Corbeau adjustable brackets currently come standard with double locking sliders. If you purchased a Corbeau adjustable bracket prior to 2018, it’s likely that you have a single locking slider, unless you upgraded to double locking sliders.
Single Locking Sliders: All Corbeau sliders have two sides, one for the left side and one for the right side of the mounting bracket. Single locking sliders have a locking mechanism on one of the sides. The lock is controlled by a handle that is pulled horizontally to disengage the lock. This will allow you to slide your seat forward or back. The handle is spring-loaded and will lock into place automatically when released. The other side of the slider is free sliding and follows the locking side. If you purchased a Corbeau adjustable bracket prior to 2018, you likely have single locking sliders, unless you upgraded to double locking sliders.
Double Locking Sliders: This type of slider has two locking mechanisms, one on each slider. The adjustment handle connects to both locks enabling you to disengage the locks simultaneously. This is very similar to how most OEM manual sliders work. This slider is designed for people who plan to take their vehicle to the track, drag strip, off-road, or for anyone who likes a little extra security.
